I created an emoticon (something I have never done before and don't plan on doing again) with Ninja Turtles characters and it's my most commented on and favorite'ed piece. Fan art will get you there easily. And when you start to combine them is when you get a cray high multiplier.

I know this poll's pretty done but really tutorials get the most hits. I get on average like 5 views per deviation, and the tutorial I have has like 5000. Its not even that good.
(Ps: The numbers may be slight off.. I haven't checked in awhile so I'm estimating )

In all honesty man I really enjoy looking at whatever you put up.

well if you want more hits pandering to the masses would get you that, but you have to ask yourself if you really want those people bothering you.

Style/execution gets me more than subject matter.
