Close but X-Men just had that feeling, you know?

Gotta give my edge to X-men. Sure back then Spiderman teamed up with a lot of super heroes and faced plenty of villians but X-men not only had better animation but also a rich storyline that did a pretty good job of following the comic book versions.

Spiderman just didn't age well

Loved both of them, but I think the better one was X-Men even though Spidey is my one of my fav characters ever.

I love X-Men, and i admit that storyline was butchered, but i can't help but love that cartoon. I just had to think of it as a mini-story or side adventure whenever I wrote it.... a fun thing to watch but that didn't affect or go along with the actual story line..... I hated the way they did Nightcrawler though....

The first couple episodes were kinda goofy and melodramatic with Morph dying and all but there were several arcs that SERIOUSLY rocked!
That show really helped me get into the X-men. It made the comics seem soooooo much better.
Spidey's cartoon was really slick in the begining episodes with super tight animation, but the blasted CG backgrounds and the sloppy animation in later episodes coupled with really bad writing of the later seasons kinda killed it for me.
My son is finally getting into the 90s X-men(what I like to call "the Real X-men").
It's awesome to be able to show him some of the better episodes and the comics they were based on.

As others have said, 90s Batman beats them both, even late 90s Batman of the future comes close

nothing beats 90's X-men

not X-Men (just ok) nor Spider-Man (awful CG animation), the best 90s cartoon was BATMAN THE ANIMATED SERIES, without discussion.

X-men without a doubt.

Never liked the 3D buildings in Spiderman, as a kid that always bothered me. The soundtrack of the show wasn't well used either.
