I have to work hard at it, I have no talent for drawing.
Just trying to get good enough so I can give visualizations to other artists that do it better. Even half way decent pictures can give a world of information to those who work in a visual medium.
I work hard on each scene but I don't practice as much as I should on all areas of art like I did in the past in College....thumbnails, perspective, silhouette, anatomy, characters.....that's partly because I'm too much trying to learn photoshop..... I know i'm a little tough on myself.....lol ......I was a traditional in the past but now digital artist [link]
Both, but as of late it's been a lot of HARD work, mostly due to a lack of inspiration and motivation to get things done. I'm in a bit of a slump and have been for a while now
I would LOVE to say it just comes through and it's a easy process. It never is. I over-plan, agonize over details that nobody in their right mind should be concerned with, and projects always take twice as long as I think they would when I initially concieve them. And yet I continually go back to the drawing table or computer [or both] and put myself through it ALL OVER AGAIN. Guess I'm crazy...
My inspiration comes from the music I listen to. With out it I get uninspired & cranky. But it all depends on if I'm working with a difficult client. That's when the pressure of working your ass off hits the most.
