A street fighter question....go figure!

I loved playing Super SF2 when I was younger....but SF4 is pretty good....unfortunately, i'm not much of a fighter game person, so I suck at it....but I did enjoy making my own arcade stick to play it with!

You know what I find interesting. In Street Fighter Alpha Anthology we get all the alpha iterations and Pocket Fighter. In Anniversary collection we get Hyper Street Fighter II and Street Fighter III Third Strike. Hyper Street Fighter II can be considered as all the iterations since you can choose any version of the character but what about New Generation and 2nd Impact? I understand that those games can be considered imperfect but I would still love the option to play all of the SFIII iterations. I can understand that SFIII is the bottom of the totem popularity pole considering it didn't sell well.

BTW Alpha 3 for me. I started with SFII but I have fonder memories of A3....

@ Zatransis,

by the way, I missed Street Figther EX on your list. Those EX games on PSII was a big change. The playability was different and it was in 3d. I dont give a f...k on 3d but I liked it in EX.

I gotta say, I'm a fan of SF3: Third Strike in the same way someone is a fan of a great band or musician. I can appreciate it from afar but hell if I know how to pull some of that stuff off!

So Super SF4 is my go-to fav - I may not be good at it either but there's a wider play field and it's a lot of fun.

For me it was Street Fighter Alpha 3. Man that seems to be eons ago. I was around my 19th birthday. Every Saturday I grabbed my pocket money and met me best friend in arcadehall. We spent all our money on it. We loved the character Akuma. We didn't knew how to trigger a Raging Demon move. We slapped like crasy all 6 buttens and braking the arcade stick and sometimes we managed the Raging Demon. What a great time. Memorys :sing: :crying:

And today at 38 Im happy to play another great Street Fighter Game, SSV. And I have the feeling the good old days are back. Meeting my best buddy online or at his or at my house. And today we know how to trigger a Raging Demon. :matrixfight:

..i voted SSF4 but i really have to say it's a hard choice because Third Strike was the shit! . .the combos, air blocks & counters really REALLY made the fighting system fluid and challanging! . .it really made for some of the most epic fights ever! ..if you havent seen this -->[link] fight from the 2004 EVO Tournaments a few years back, well...you wont find a better example of EPIC. . i'm a huge Ken fan so ..yea. .this dude is my mentor!
