If you know anything about me, you know I'm a big fan of fighting games (Street Fighter being my favorite). If you know A LOT about me, you know I love watching tournament videos, tournament streams, and tutorials. But, the most entertaining of all of these are the videos put out by the guys at Cross Counter: Gootecks and Mike Ross. If you aren't a fan of fighting games, stop reading now, haha.
You can check out their shows (Cross Counter, The Excellent Adventures, The Marvelous Adventures, and now The Inkredible Adventures all on CrossCounter.tv They also have a youtube channel here: [link]
I'm terrible at likenesses so this was an interesting exercise for me. I tried to make them somewhat similar to the SFIV style but I didn't go too far with it.
Well, they put all of this stuff out for free so I decided to show my appreciation by working these up. The hours of entertainment I've gotten from their videos is worth it. Here are a couple fun mock-ups I did, too. I won't post them here because the base image is far too lo-res.
I had to find their thumbnail cause it looked awesome and it lead me here.. Great job man! You have skills. Too bad you don't play ssf4 on 360 or umvc3 on 360 i'd practice with ya
AH, so you did this! I've been watching Crosscounter for a while and loved the drawing! What font did you use for the names? I couldn't find one that works. So, you're a SF fan? Do you play on psn? If you do, add me: offcris
Lol I love their shows (Cross Counter, The Excellent Adventures, The Marvelous Adventures, etc) and these two are funny and simply rock. As a huge fighting game fan, I really appreciate and love what they're doing for the Fighting Game community.
Your artwork here is amazing, and you've captured they're likeness and personality greatly. Well done!
I've been wondering where they got their Thumbnails.
=farewell Gootecks=
too bad gootecks has left (or something? i'm not really in the loop)
nice likeness, and it really does look in style.
Yeah, Gootecks has left, but I see big things in his future.
